Biography

Lauren is a graduate student in the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program at IUPUI. Originally from the suburbs of Pittsburgh, PA., Lauren received a B.A. in Psychology from Oberlin College in 2010 and a M.S.Ed. in Counseling and Mental Health Services from the University of Pennsylvania in 2011. After graduating, she spent two years as a clinical research coordinator at the Aaron T. Beck Psychopathology Research Center at the University of Pennsylvania with Drs. Aaron T. Beck and Paul Grant, coordinating implementation and dissemination projects of recovery-oriented cognitive therapy for individuals with schizophrenia, as well as studies examining the psychopathology of schizophrenia. Her research interests include strategies to improve the dissemination and implementation of evidence-based recovery-oriented treatments for individuals with severe mental illness and identification of factors and mechanisms that contribute to recovery for individuals with severe mental illness.
